The Scout

So I took a break from my Ned Stark portrait and decided to do a piece that has been in my mind for several months now.

Okay so there wasnt as much work to do as I thought, but I did make some changes that at least make me feel happier with it, thought I was happy with the piece to begin with.

So I started my dragon painting on my new slate tablet computer and got it almost finished. I have transferred the file to my desktop computer to do the finishing touches/details.

So here are two drawings for paintings that I am working on, I am currently in the middle of painting the dragon and as soon as that is done I will be starting my portrait of Ned Stark from A Game of Thrones.

After I posted this piece in the winter I got some suggestions on how to improve the piece, I never got around to editing it until now. If only I can get my final paintings to look like this without any edits on the computer.

So while I am waiting to photograph and do some edits to the oil painting I have been working on, I have started and finished a new piece on the computer. Sometimes I wish I could merge the things I like working traditionally and digitally and have one flawless perfect system, I guess one can always dream.
